Hello–
I love your site! I’m going to be in Istanbul Saturday (tomorrow, July 21) through Tuesday (July 24). I have two boys, 9 and 12, who are crazy into football and very good players. Is there any place in the city they can go to join a pick-up game with kids? And are there things we should see in Istanbul that are good for soccer fans?

Hi, unfortunatly you will be not able to see any games, while ypu are here. If they love to see at least a Stadium we would recomend Inonü Stadium from Beskiktas. It’s the oldest stadium right in the middle of the town facing Bosporus River. By the history of the place it is definitly the most interesting place to visit.
Turkish people are very polite and as nearly everywhere kids (and older kids) love to play football. There are various parks all over the town, where kids play football. I’ve never experienced a problem joining tukish for a while. Some of these parks are direktly at the golden Horn or Bosporus river, that it is also nice for you to sit there and enjoy the atmosphere of this amazing city.
